Robyn at http://brainbasedbiz.blogspot.com/ tagged me for this. I have to say that I have never considered this before but it was a good exercise to get my brain working ( which is what Robyn does - check her website)

So…I am going for the building of the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh…and here’s why

royalmuseumscotland01.jpg

1 Despite its age it is full of new stuff.

2 It looks smart from the outside and is full of fascinating unusual stuff on the inside ( bear with me on this!).

3 It makes people of all ages  feels warm and welcome and has something to interest everyone.

4 It had a bit of a makeover a few years ago to keep it current ( now this is where me and building are different - it had an extension but I have had no work done!)

5 It’s been in Edinburgh for a long time

That was fun!

  1. Jackie, you motivate me to plan a visit. I love that which warms me and looks regal. I’m so glad to see how you answered this challenge!

Most of us need this kind of “play” as we consider a challenge that helps us reflect and maybe even grow [makeover of the mind]… and in respect to that, I’d love to have you read this piece from a view inside an Irish castle…

  2. Jackie, if you tag some other bloggers, you might also gather new links to your site from them and build a little authority on Google. By doing so it helps get you higher on search engines and more folks will come to read your articles.

You don’t have to publish this comment, but it’s a way I’d like to help you grow as a blogger… since you post very thoughtful pieces :-)

  3. Hi Jackie

I love the Edinburgh twist to this! But you haven’t mentioned the goldfish!! How could we work that in? Hmm - teeming with colour and life maybe? :-)

Two things - thank you for prompting me to do this - it was truly fun. I guess I took a different angle from others? Made me smile though and thanks for the tips about tagging. I am more a follower than leader in the blogosphere so most of the blogs I read have already been there but I will give it some thought….or maybe start my own…yep that’s what I’ll do :-)

Yes - the goldfish. Your comment made me chuckle. For those people who have not ( yet) visited there are 2 huge ponds of fish in the main hall of the museum which are a huge attraction to young and old.
There are also some old relics, shiny bright things and national treasures …we could work on this one forever.

  5. Jackie, thanks for taking up the challenge! I love the different buildings each person has chosen, and why they chose them. It really helps reveal a bit of the person behind the blog, and in a fun way, too!

Thanks for joining us - I’ll be collecting these in a single post soon, so look for it!

    Cheers!
