The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain
Yes – regular readers – I am writing about an orchestra of ukelele players!
I heard a programme on radio the other day as I was driving over to a client. I cannot remember when I was more surprised, amused, encouraged and downright impressed!
The ukelele to me is a funny little instrument – not to be taken seriously. Let me tell you the guys in the “Orchestra” don’t take it seriously – or rather they do because they are immensely talented musicians and entertainers but their choice of music is eclectic to say the least.
You owe it to yourself to go over to YouTube and listen to this ( the picture quality is not great).
This is a classic example of people using their skills in a new and innovative way!
