By this time of year most people are juggling work commitments with getting ready for the festive break - and the shopping and preparation that goes with it. For many there will be some sort of celebration with workmates.

Although the press would have us believe that all office parties/events are either likely to run out of control or are been scaled back for “health and safety” reasons I expect many of us it might include a meal together - or maybe a mince pie and glass of sherry!

Whatever you do with your colleagues it will be out of context from what happens in the rest of the year. This is the chance to actually chat to someone who you would little or no contact with normally. Of course it is also tempting to just stick with your good friends but in the spirit of goodwill maybe exchanging a few words with someone with whom you don’t have a good relationship is actually a better use of your time?

Anyway - whatever you do - with colleagues, friends and/or family - I wish you all the best for the Festive Season.
